European Directories are a pan-European local search and lead generation company. We provide local commercial search for consumers and lead generation to advertisers. We do this through a variety of products in print, online, mobile and voice.
We have market-leading positions in the Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, Austria, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Gibraltar. We have 4,750 employees and over 700,000 customers.
Our business was formed in July 2005 following the acquisition of the Yellow Brick Road Group by a consortium led by Macquarie who then, in November 2005, also purchased TDC's search and directory businesses in Denmark, Sweden and Finland. In 2008 European Directories acquired Ditel in Poland and Gouden Gids in the Netherlands.
Day-to-day operations are conducted at a country level by operating companies which are located in each of the countries. A small Group Office co-ordinates key initiatives across the Group, especially in online, and promotes best-practice behaviour amongst the operating companies.
